Plaska Lodge

Just returned from another fantastic experience at Plaska Lodge. The hunting was challenging due to the weather, but Oren Don and Quaid worked hard to overcome this and eventually everyone had an opportunity to harvest the game they were after. As always the food was exceptional, the lodge clean and tidy, and the comradery was great as usual. After 17 years of hunting here i almost always run into someone that i have been in camp with previously, which is a testimony in itself to the repeat business that Plaska Lodge has. I recently hunted at Plaska Lodge and experienced a hunting trip of a lifetime. Oren Don and his staff were great. From the home cooked meals to the great hunts and the spacious lodge, every detail was covered. We saw all types of wildlife, deer, hogs, quail etc. It was a trip I will never forget and I will definitely be back.

Absolutely amazing place to hunt. It was my first time hog hunting and although I was personally unsuccessful in the hunt, the crew at Plaska lodge was amazing and made the experience the best it could be. They educated us on how the pigs move and how to look for them. Put us in great spots to help out chances and even made changes real time to adjust for the odd weather in the season. They fed us great food, a quick breakfast before the hunt and then 2 huge meals after each hunt. The lodge is great too. Comfortable beds, space for your hunting party to spread out and room out back to shoot. Highly recommend using Plaska Lodge. Oren Don and Quaid are great guides and hosts. Will absolutely go back!

Returned to Plaska Lodge for the sixth time. My two daughters harvested their first whitetails at Plaska Lodge. This sixth trip was with my son, completing the rite of passage by hunting with the folks at Plaska. My son wanted a 4-Horn Sheep (Jacob Sheep), as did I. My son had the first opportunity on the first morning. After spotting and stalking a group of sheep for a couple of hours, my son took his opportunity and harvested a fantastic 4-Horn! Shortly after, I also took the opportunity to take a 4-Horn. While hunting coyotes in the evening, I also could have taken a magnificent boar hog. I opted not to do so because the purist in me was hunting coyotes, not hogs. Oren Don and his crew are the best of people. They feed you well and they draw hunters of good character. Being at the lodge with others, telling stories of the day and sharing past experiences make the outing something to remember. My son and I made the best of memories at Plaska Lodge. I'm looking forward to returning to hunt that beast of a hog!

Lodge- perfect Food-perfect Guide/Camden- perfect I can’t say enough good about or stay at the lodge the last two days. First time hunting hogs and tagged out while there. Camden made sure we had everything we needed and were taken care of while there. Extremely knowledgeable about everything there. If you’re thinking about going to visit I’d highly recommend you stop thinking and just go. You will not be disappointed.

Plaska Lodge was such a fantastic experience. Oren Don has everything planned out to make for a great and memorable trip. If you decide to give them a try you can expect delicious home cooked meals, great friendships built to last, and hunts that you will never forget. They have a great lodge to stay in and a shooting range out back to have a little fun between hunts. You will not be disappointed with Plaska Lodge.

My husband and I stayed here for a three-day hog hunt and loved it! Oren Don and Quaid were fabulous hosts and guides. The lodge is really cute (the bedrooms are nicely decorated and furnished, and very comfortable for couples as well as single hunters), and the food is awesome as well; there's plenty of it, and it's really yummy, home-cooked goodness! The hunts are fair hunts of the wild-roaming hogs, so it was a really good, authentic hunting experience also. This was my second year here, and we would def go again, and would recommend it to other hunters as well.

My second GREAT year at Plaska! Hogs it was last year and hogs it was again this year. Oren Don and Quaid truly are the heart and soul of the Plaska hunting experience! The two of them run a top shelf operation and their attention to detail is legendary in my book. You can tell these men work very hard to provide a safe and productive fair chase hunt, a clean and inviting lodge with a flair for the taste of the old days in decoration and antiques, excellent and plentiful food and even their pickup trucks are clean and well cared for. Their attention to detail for the whole experience is truly outstanding! Good job guys and I look forward to next year!!!
